Renay Rossi Award of Excellence
The Renay Rossi Award of Distinction was established many years ago in the name of an amazing woman who was an art teacher. Three awards are given at each of the district-wide exhibitions. Rossi attended every one of the district-wide exhibitions and regularly submitted students work to each show. She was a champion for her students. She was such an advocate for the arts, here in Miami-Dade County, that upon her untimely death, we should remember her by the D.A.E.A. holding an awards in memoriam to this dedicated individual. Any dollar amount is accepted and appreciated to continue to keep this legacy of art advocacy alive.
